HERBAL SAGE DEODORANT
Our Price: $6.00

1/2 oz. glass roll-on vial with brushed aluminum cap. Tall Sagebrush has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, helping to prevent bacterial growth. This roll-on deodorant was made from the flowering tops of the Tall Sagebrush infused in a mixture of virgin olive oil, jojoba oil and almond oil. Essential oil of Rosewood has been added for fragrance.

Tall Sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata). This species, the state flower of Nevada, grows up to seven feet tall. It has the broadest ecological tolerance and can survive under the greatest range of environmental conditions. Tall Sagebrush has evolved a number of adaptations designed to increase the efficiency of water absorption and retention under the semi-arid conditions in which it thrives. The plants produce two types of leaves, the principal, lobed leaves persist throughout the year. Smaller, softer, non-lobed leaves appear along the branch tips in early winter and drop off during drought conditions the following summer. This allows more rapid growth during the relatively moist conditions of early spring and enables the plant to conserve resources during the hot, dry summer. Tall Sagebrush also has an efficient two-component root system. Small, widely dispersed, shallow roots absorb water rapidly before it can evaporate following rainstorms. Its deep, penetrating roots draw water from reservoirs deep underground.

"Soap" is the result of a chemical action between fat and lye. Many products on the market are labeled "Beauty Bar" or "Cleansing Bar".

These cleansing and beauty bars are not soap, and therefore cannot be labeled as such. They are usually detergents, which can be made more quickly than true soap. The problem with such "bars" is that the fat in the product does not undergo the chemical process occurring in soap and therefore leaves a residue on your skin. This residue often contains synthetic perfumes and additives that irritate the skin and fats that encourage bacteria growth. Over time, dry skin or eczema can develop.

Antibacterial products are the most damaging to skin health since they destroy the natural bacteria on your skin that fights infection. There is also the danger of ingesting the antibacterial products from cleaning food preparation surfaces and then ingesting food that has come in contact with the recently cleaned surface.

Natural soap rinses clean, is organic and healthy for the environment and the skin.
